A plan sets how many trucks you can watch. Credits pay for each search and check.

Why two things and not one price?

A plan decides how many trucks may be under watch at once, and for how long - it carries its own term and is what allows automatic checking at all. Credits are the running cost of looking: every search and every automatic check draws one credit from a balance you top up whenever it runs low, and credits never expire. Kept apart, a quiet spell costs you almost nothing and a busy one does not need a bigger plan.

What credits are spent on

Both kinds of look cost the same: a search you type, and each automatic check of a truck you are watching. So how closely you watch a lorry is what it costs — a faster alert is more checks a day — and pausing a truck stops the meter. Your plan caps how many trucks you may watch at once and for how long; the balance is what the looking is paid from.

Automatic check
1 credit = 1 use
One background check of a tracked truck, at the same price as a search. A truck on a 15-minute alert is checked 96 times a day, so this is the rate that decides what tracking costs - pausing a truck is how a customer stops it.
Manual search
1 credit = 1 use
An officer typing a registration number into the search box, or re-checking a truck by hand.

Invite someone, earn credits

20% of what somebody you invite pays for their first plan and their first top-up, back as credits — plus 500 credits once 5 of them have paid.

Twice over: once when they buy their first plan, and again when they first top up. Nothing arrives when they merely register.

And it pays both ways. They get 10% of both payments back as credits — joining on an invite pays both of you.
