Buying credits, and why a plan is required
Top-ups add credits and change nothing else. They need an active, paid plan — which catches people out on the trial and after a plan ends.

Open Plan and credits and go to the Top up credits panel. Pick a pack, or name your own amount on the open tier. Bigger rungs are better value per credit, and the panel shows the rate for each.
A top-up adds credits and changes nothing else — not your plan, not its end date, not how many lorries you may watch. Credits you buy never expire.
ExampleTopping up credits
The top-up panel: the packs, what each buys, and the discount code box.
- 1The rungs. Bigger ones are better value per credit.
- 2A top-up changes the balance and nothing else — not the plan, not its end date.
A top-up needs a paid plan that is running right now
If your plan has expired, if you are on the free trial, or if you have never bought a plan, a top-up is refused. Buy or renew a plan first — and a plan brings credits of its own, so that is often the only purchase you needed. Buying a plan and a top-up together in one payment is fine.
Paying
- 1Choose the pack or type an amount. The panel shows the credits before you pay.
- 2Add a discount code if you have one, in the Discount code box on the same panel.
- 3Press the button. A Razorpay window opens with your name and contact details already filled in.
- 4Pay by whatever method Razorpay offers you. We never see or hold your card or bank details.
- 5Wait on the page for a few seconds. Credits are added when Razorpay confirms the payment, not when the window closes.
Two kinds of code, and they go in different places
| Kind of code | Where it goes | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| A code worth credits | Have a credit code? on Plan and credits | Adds credits on its own. No purchase needed |
| A discount code | The Discount code box on the buying panel | Takes rupees off the price |
A discount reduces what you pay, not what you get
The credits are worked out from the price before the discount, so a discount code is the same goods for less money. A credit code is the other way round: it reduces nothing and simply grants credits, so it is refused at a checkout and has its own box.
Questions about this
Why is my top-up being refused?
A top-up needs an active, paid plan. On an expired plan, on the trial, or with no plan ever bought, buy or renew a plan instead — it brings credits with it.
Can I buy a plan and credits in one payment?
Yes. The buying panel lets you attach a top-up to a plan purchase, and it is charged once. Your receipt shows both halves separately.
Do bought credits expire if I stop using the account?
No. Purchased credits are yours indefinitely and still pay for searching by hand even with no plan.
Is there a minimum on the open tier?
Yes, and the panel shows it. Below the minimum there is nothing to sell, so the amount is refused.
